We are what we learn

Have you ever heard the saying we are what we eat? Well, in the same token we are what we learn. When we are born, we have already learned the basics of languages. While in the womb, we listen and hear our parent's voices through vibrating sounds.

After we go through the process of development, we reach a stage were everything changes. For example, after a certain age we are expected to go to the schooling process.

We might start in Head Start, move to Young Fours, onto Young Fives, and finally land in Kindergarten.

As you can see this are many changes for a young mind. The child is no longer subject to limited influences, now the child is subjected to countless of influences.
Once the child reaches pre-school children, learning appears fun and enjoyable.

As the child moves onto higher education the tasks becomes more involving and associating with friends become restricted. In a single classroom, regardless if we are in special education or common classes we are going to see how others behave.

If we are close to the person that is causing uproar then we are looking at potential influential behavior problems. Still, we haven't considered peer pressure, which can cause a disturbance in learning.

Peer pressure can drag us away from our responsibilities. Since, most of us are prone to influences, which redirect our learning; we are all subject to learning inabilities. Notice, I am relating to the learning problems, using the term inability.

The reason for this is that too many times teachers use the term disability when it is not true. When a child presents potential learning problems, or behavior problems some teachers will redirect the child to special education.

The problem is the instructors often refuse to handle responsibility to that magnitude. Learning disabilities are often associated with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorders, better known as ADHD. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, often include symptoms of hearing impairments.

When the ear is not producing proper sounds, it affects the minds ability to focus. Focusing is a part of learning; therefore, we can see a disability is accurate, since ADHD patients cannot concentrate for a length of time.

Children with Attention Deficit Disorders often have difficulty with learning, since their minds are moving faster than normal speeds. Most of these children are highly intelligent, but unfortunately, they are forced to relearn, since they are not learning according to the educational code of law.

As you can see this presents continuing problems, since the children are often considered last in education. The National Education Association works first to gain power, control over the society and then works toward earning profit.

The children are often last to be considered. To frost the cake, some of the children in special education do not belong in the classrooms. These children were labeled learning disabled because someone did not want to deal with the extra problems.
The final recourse then is to look more into home schooling to help the children with learning inabilities and disabilities to learn at their own level.

Home schooling may appear strenuous, but after you get the class up and running it often runs smoothly. The downside with home schooling is that the child does not have the quality of association he or she would have in a classroom.

Still, there is a solution, since most children have friends. Another problem with schooling children at home is families require both parents to work to survive. Since, our government and the businesses that provide us resources are increasing their prices, it is almost impossible for one parent to support a family.

Now we have another problem, since children are not getting their needs meet. When a child grows up with baby sitters or teachers, they are missing development necessities to learn.

Unfortunately, we are living in a world of greed, so it is up to us as parents to find a way to stop the learning disabilities and feed our children minds.

Again, we are what we learn, and when someone else is teaching our children. What are they learning? If you have a children said to have a learning disability, it is wise to get a complete medical examination before considering the diagnosis.
